PacTool Z-Clamp Adjustable - Panel Siding Installation Tool, Green
The PacTool SA907 Adjustable Z-Clamp Panel Siding Installation Tool is a contractor-grade tool designed for installing panel siding. It is sold as a single unit and can be used to mark siding on opposite walls. The tool features an adjustable angle finder and a thumb screw that can be used to secure the desired angle. However, some customers have reported difficulties with adjusting the angle, with one user stating that the thumb screw gets in the way of achieving a left angle. The manufacturer suggests pushing the silver piece down through the green portion to flip it around for a left angle. While the concept of the tool is good, the execution has received mixed reviews. Some customers have found that there is too much slop in the tool, even when the knob is tightened, making it less useful. There have also been complaints about the quality of the hardware, with screws falling out during unboxing. One customer mentioned using ThreadLocker to prevent this issue on the job site. However, there are also positive reviews of the PacTool SA907. Customers have praised its durability and the ability to set angles easily. One user mentioned that it is well-made, but suggested that the pivot point should be at the end of the tool for better usability. In summary, the PacTool SA907 Adjustable Z-Clamp Panel Siding Installation Tool has received mixed feedback from customers. While it offers features such as an adjustable angle finder, there are complaints about the tool's quality, particularly with regards to the hardware and the amount of slop in the tool.
