Figure Drawing Editorial Review
Andrew Loomis' "Successful Drawing" is a classic book that offers valuable insights and techniques for both beginner and experienced artists. With a focus on perspective drawing, the book provides clear instructions and easy-to-understand explanations. While some reviewers have criticized the Kindle version of the book, citing issues with illegible text, small images, and typos, it is important to note that these problems are specific to the electronic version and not the physical book. Therefore, if you are Considering purchasing "Successful Drawing," it may be worth investing in the physical copy rather than the Kindle version. Loomis' approach to drawing, which heavily relies on mathematical principles and a "gut feeling," may not be suitable for everyone. However, for those who are interested in cartoon drawing or want to learn how to draw using traditional methods and tools, this book offers valuable techniques and guidance. Overall, "Successful Drawing" by Andrew Loomis is highly recommended for artists and illustrators who are looking to improve their perspective drawing skills and add a valuable reference to their library.
