Magic Editorial Review
**** The "White Fox: a magical, illustrated animal story" has captivated its audience with a rich narrative that intertwines mysticism and adventure, making it a noteworthy addition to children's literature. This novel, the first to be translated from Chinese, introduces readers to the enchanting world of Dilah, an orphaned white fox, and his companions. The translation, handled by Jennifer Feeley, is fluid and seamless, ensuring that readers are immersed in the narrative without the distraction of clunky phrasing often associated with translations. The story flows with a captivating rhythm, filled with intrigue and danger which many readers, including a third grader and their parents, have praised for its enticing plot. The pacing keeps young readers engaged, with many finishing the book quickly and anxiously anticipating the next installment due to its cliffhanger ending. However, it should be noted that some parents have expressed concern over the graphic content and themes of violence, indicating that while the book offers a thrilling experience, it may not be suitable for more sensitive readers. Overall, "White Fox" offers a magical adventure that appeals to fans of fantastical tales. The book promises excitement and character depth that can spark imagination, although it may warrant caution depending on the reader’s sensitivity to darker themes. **
