Russell Crowe (Actor), Ryan Gosling (Actor) Movies Editorial Review
Nice Guys, The BD is a 2016 action-comedy directed by Shane Black featuring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. The film follows two private investigators, one a bumbling alcoholic, the other a rough brute, who join forces to investigate the disappearance of a young woman in 1970s Los Angeles. The plot is engaging and fast-paced, with plenty of laughs and surprises. One standout feature of the film is the performance of Angourie Rice as the young daughter of one of the investigators. Rice does a fantastic job playing the mature, level-headed foil to the two grown men and holds her own against Gosling and Crowe, both talented actors. While some viewers found the chemistry between the actors lacking, others enjoyed the interplay between Gosling's goofy character and Crowe's more serious one. The humor in the film is often slapstick and over-the-top, but it works well within the context of the story. Overall, Nice Guys, The BD is a solid action-comedy with a great cast, engaging plot, and plenty of laughs.
