Offroading Gear Freshwater Tanks & Inlets Editorial Review
The Offroading Gear 4x4 Road Rinser is a practical solution for outdoor enthusiasts needing a reliable means to rinse off after activities like camping, fishing, or beach outings. Unlike the myriad of options available, such as pesticide sprayers or battery-operated systems, this portable shower features a pressurized, welded aluminum tank ensuring durability and efficient water output. Customers appreciate the high water pressure it delivers—reportedly 2-3 times stronger than other camping showers. The inclusion of a bicycle pump for pressurization is a thoughtful touch, eliminating the need for batteries or cumbersome setups. Reviewers have found the 14-liter tank ample for their needs, providing satisfying rinses without the hassle of additional equipment. The versatility offered by brackets for both roof and tow hitch mounting makes it a handy addition for those with different vehicle configurations. While many users praised its utility, there are some criticisms. Examples include the use of cheap mounting brackets, which have led to installation struggles, and a tendency for the clamp holding the shower head to be flimsy. There’s also mention of minor leaking under pressure, suggesting potential quality control issues during production. Overall, the Roadrinser is well-regarded as a much-needed tool for outdoor adventures, especially at its competitive price point of $179. However, some improvements in design and material quality could enhance the user experience even further. **
