Tether Tools USB Cables Editorial Review
The reviews for this USB cable highlight a strong Consensus on the quality and reliability of the product, especially for those utilizing it in creative environments like photography studios. Many users appreciate its durability and robust design, which, while somewhat stiff, is labeled as tangle-proof and effectively prevents disconnections during use. One reviewer noted that the cable has served them reliably for seven years without any glitches, underscoring its longevity. Several users, particularly in the fashion and beauty photography industry, emphasize the importance of fast data transfer speeds when tethered to a camera. They report commendable performance with one user achieving a remarkably fast transfer speed of 2.5 seconds to full-screen display when using a Nikon D850 camera—an impressive feat that showcases the cable's efficiency for professional settings. However, there are some concerns from a minority of users regarding instability in specific scenarios. A review mentions that the cable was not able to complete a session reliably, leading the user to forgo its use entirely. Additionally, due to the stiffness of the cable, there are suggestions to use a cable block to alleviate stress on the USB ports of the camera, which could prevent potential damage over time. Overall, this USB cable has received favorable feedback for its high build quality, effective performance in a professional setting, and long-term reliability, though it is advisable to ensure proper handling to maintain its condition. **
