It has a transparent casing that allows for easy monitoring of sediment build-up along with a bottom flush valve for easy cleaning. The filter can be installed in a 150-degree hot water line, although it is recommended to install it before the water heater. It has a 100 GPM max flow rate and can be installed on its side with slightly reduced effectiveness. However, customers have reported issues with the O ring in the filter seating and that it clogs quickly with algae.
